Former Butcher Infants vocalist Carla Harvey has joined Belgian electronica act Lords Of Acid. In keeping with Lords Of Acid‘s supervisor Marc Jordan, “Carla is ready to start recording vocals for the brand new Lords Of Acid album this winter and might be becoming a member of the band on a 27 date US tour in June.”
Harvey herself added: “I had three favourite bands in highschool: Weapons N’ Roses, Pantera and Lords of Acid. Every one formed me and uniquely influenced me as an artist. LOA had me hooked from the second I heard ‘I Sit On Acid’ as a young person dancing the evening away at Detroit’s goth Industrial Haven Metropolis Membership.
“My obsession with LOA solely grew after I noticed Coop‘s paintings on the quilt of ‘Voodoo U’. Now I get to document an album and go on tour with my industrial heroes! Pinch 16 yr outdated me! She’ll be the one within the vocal sales space. Whereas my new band The Violent Hour is ready to launch its first single in February, I am including a bucket record merchandise to my resume: Reigning ‘Acid Queen’. Reward the Lords!”
Harvey left Butcher Infants earlier in 2024 and has since launched a brand new band referred to as The Violent Hour. Harvey additionally revealed in an interview with The Ward Bond Present that she returned to her work within the deathcare business, having lately taken a job with the post-cremation service Parting Stone.
